At Tikologo we LOVE Basil so naturally we planted way more than we could ever use fresh. Due to our cold winters all that Basil will soon be frosted so we need to make use of as much as we can before that happens.
Preserves seem to be all the rage at the moment and with good reason. Preserving produce vastly extends the shelf life and means that you can enjoy summer treats like Basil right through winter. In this week’s pic we have Megan harvesting arm loads of Basil which we will use to make Basil infused oils for salad dressing and more. YUM!
